Set off from Rovaniemi and journey deep into the peaceful Arctic wilderness on a thrilling snowmobile safari. As you ride through snow-covered forests and frozen landscapes, enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of Finnish Lapland before arriving at a secluded frozen lake.

At the lake, your experienced local guide will introduce you to the traditional art of Arctic ice fishing and share fascinating insights into this time-honoured Lapland tradition. Once your fishing spot is prepared, settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while waiting for a catch. Fishing is never guaranteed, but with a little patience and luck, you may catch local species such as perch or whitefish.

After the fishing experience, gather around a warm campfire and enjoy a delicious snack and hot drinks while taking in the serene Arctic scenery. If you’re lucky enough to catch a fish, it may be prepared over the open fire for you to taste. Whether you return with a catch or simply enjoy the journey, the combination of snowmobiling, ice fishing and a traditional campfire makes this a memorable way to experience the magic of Lapland.

• Departure point: Pekankatu 3, 96200 Rovaniemi
• Pick-up: Hotel pickup is available. Guests staying outside Rovaniemi city centre will be collected from their accommodation and transferred to the snowmobile site.

• A valid car or motorcycle driving license is required to drive a snowmobile
• Pricing is based on one or two people sharing one snowmobile
• Drivers must be at least 18 years old
• Not recommended for participants with serious medical conditions (heart problems, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip issues, or other serious conditions)
• Children will ride in a sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile
• Participants under 15 years old may ride as a passenger only if they are at least 140 cm tall and booked at the adult price; otherwise, they must ride in the sled
• Young children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times
• Not suitable for children aged 3 and under
• Operates in cold weather conditions—please dress appropriately
• Subject to favorable snow conditions; if canceled due to weather, an alternative date or full refund will be offered
